TH-U MADE IN ROCK - JIM P
TH-U Made In Rock – Jim P is the plug-in based on the truest emulation of the famous JMP50* head and its matched cabinet. The amp is currently part of the Made In Rock private collection, which has expanded in the last 20 years through the acquisition of amplifiers, effects, guitars and other items from the stages of renowned artists, such as White Snake, Noel Gallagher, Judas Priest, and many others.
The unique emulation of the JMP50* head with serial no. 4073D, and its matched cabinet, which belonged to Led Zeppelin.*
FREE-STANDING PACK—Each TH-U Made In Rock plug-in is both a TH-U expansion pack and a standalone plugin, meaning that it can expand the model list of an existing TH-U installation, or it can also be purchased as a self-contained pack that includes all of the TH-U editing features, including the Rig Player, the Tuner, and the Looper, with no need to have a pre-existing TH-U license.
The History of a Legend
The reference amplifier comes from Swansong productions, the label created by Led Zeppelin, and has been documented by their manager Peter Grant. The head is dated 1972 and its Serial Number is 4073D. It’s interesting to note that this is a 50-watt head, even though some forums and magazines say that Jimmy Page used 100-watt amplifiers. The head came with the red 4x12 cabinet, dated 1971, and was equipped with Celestion* T1511 speakers.
Every Tonal and Emotional Detail Captured
The TH-U Made In Rock – Jim P head has two input Channels. Channel 1 is brighter and more crunchy, with a lot of presence. Channel 2 is much richer on the low frequencies and more fuzzy. Inputs 1 and 2 were often connected with a jumper to have both channels mixed together; by using the two volume knobs you can balance the top and bottom ends and experiment with an infinite combination of tones. Overloud has even replicated the red marks on the front panel, which Jimmy’s engineer used to set the knobs.
The matched 4x12" cabinet with Celestion* T1511 speakers enhances the crunchy tone of the head. It has been captured with 18 microphones with high-resolution nonlinear IRs. Thanks to Overloud's Fluid Convolution, you can place up to four microphones in the 3D space around the cab and blend them with custom IRs. The ReSPiRe option adds air and the feeling of physically standing near the cabinet.

Overloud's New Fluid Capturing Technology
Also known as "schematic-assisted capturing," Overloud’s new Fluid Capturing is an innovative amp simulation process that combines the strengths of both modeling and capturing techniques. A sampled amp capture, which is a highly realistic yet fixed representation of the amp at a specific setting, falls short in replicating the amp tone across all knob settings. In contrast, a modeled amp reacts dynamically at all dynamic ranges and knob positions but may not precisely match the iconic color of a particular amp setting. Fluid Capturing takes a comprehensive approach by both modeling and sampling the amp with a variety of settings. This combined data builds a powerful digital model that is as flexible and fluid as a modeled amp and as realistic as a captured amp.
Made In Rock
These products were made possible by the Made In Rock Cultural Association in Italy, which curates an extensive collection of musical instruments, amplifiers, effects, clothing, memorabilia, and stage items once owned and used by legendary rock artists. The association aims to preserve these historical artifacts and impart their knowledge to younger generations. By leveraging Overloud's Fluid Capturing, recognized as the most advanced capturing technology, Made In Rock achieves precise sound preservation by capturing and replicating every tonal and emotional detail of the amplifiers in their collection.
