SYNCHRONIZED NATURAL TRUMPETS
This library brings the three natural trumpets from the VI Historic Winds II Collection to the main hall (Stage A) of the Synchron Stage Vienna. They have been redesigned and optimized for the Vienna Synchron Player with regard to flexibility, balance and user-friendliness in order to enable rapid and creative work.
Natural trumpets were originally used in the military for signaling and experienced their heyday in the Baroque era, when composers such as Bach, Handel, Vivaldi and Telemann composed corresponding works for the instrument. Their use extends into the Classical and even Romantic periods, during which time they were supplanted by the increasingly chromatic literature of valved trumpets. The natural trumpet has no valves and is about twice as long as the modern valved trumpet. Only tones of the natural series (from the 3rd to the 16th partial) can be generated according to the basic tuning. Addressing and in particular balancing the "impure" tones (the 7th, 11th, 13th and 14th partial) is achieved solely by the different blowing pressure and requires a high level of skill. Playing in the top register is also known as "clarine blowing".
With the convolution reverb integrated into the Vienna Synchron Player, the relatively dry recorded instruments are optimally placed in the 540 m² Stage A of the Synchron Stage Vienna. The tailor-made mixer presets deliver out-of-the-box spatial sound and are a perfect match for the instruments in the SYNCHRON-ized Woodwinds Collection as well as all other products in the Synchron Series .
