SYNCHRONIZED CORNETT
This library brings the zinc from the VI Historic Winds II Collection to the large hall (Stage A) of the Synchron Stage Vienna. They have been redesigned and optimized for the Vienna Synchron Player with regard to flexibility, balance and user-friendliness in order to enable rapid and creative work.
The cornett (Ital.: cornetto) was an extremely popular instrument of the Renaissance. Its conical wooden body has a length of approx. 60 cm and is covered with leather. Instead of valves, like the recorder, there are six finger holes on the front and a thumb hole on the back. The cup-shaped mouthpiece is usually made of horn, ivory, or bone. The cornetto is an extremely flexible instrument and covers the soprano and sopranino register with a pitch range of almost three octaves. Especially in the upper register, the timbre is reminiscent of a mixture of a soft trumpet and a female singing voice, whereby the clean intonation requires a lot of practice.
With the convolution reverb integrated into the Vienna Synchron Player, the relatively dry recorded instrument is optimally placed in the 540 m² Stage A of the Synchron Stage Vienna. The tailor-made mixer presets deliver out-of-the-box spatial sound and are a perfect match for the instruments in the SYNCHRON-ized Woodwinds Collection as well as all other products in the Synchron Series .
