It combines a unique click-replacement tool with a flexible and innovative multi-effects unit. Drum processing just got a hell of a lot easier with Slap.

Slap offers a unique approach to transient control, allowing you to add or replace transients with a collection of built-in clicks in real time. Its highly accurate transient detection and tight response ensure snappy results every time. You may either layer or replace transients for added flexibility. There is a wide variety of built-in clicks to choose from, but you may also load in your own clicks and transients. In addition there are six unique effects included, each a plugin in its own right, that are specifically tailored to boosting drum tracks. The effects can be activated and shuffled in any order to further enhance or completely transform the sound.

Make it Slap!

1 Slap comes packed with a great selection of factory presets that can be used to instantly make any sound slap! The presets are handcrafted and personally selected by Mr. Bill to push your sounds to the next level.

2 Replace any drum transient instantly! The click replacer is one of Slap's core features and a unique tool to improve any drum sound. First, it analyses the input signal to understand the transient location and loudness. Then, it allows you to replace this transient with any other click included in the plugin or even with the ones you've imported yourself

3 Slap includes a powerful visualizer allowing you to see what's happening to your drum signal. The display adds different time resolutions ranging from 1/1 to 1/64 notes. This can be extremely helpful to see the drum click or the overall decay shape. The replaced transients from the click module are also drawn in a separate color for greater visibility.

4 The Gapless Pitch toggle gives you control over the handling of the transient replacement length during pitch adjustments. When pitched up, a transients duration shortens, resulting in a gap before the subsequent sound. Leaving the toggle on Off (default) will retain this gap for creative effects and extra snap. Activating it engages an intelligent algorithm to adjust the length of the transient replacement for seamless audio transitions.

5 The Detect section gives you accurate control over how the plugin detects the transients, that trigger the click replacer and effect modules. This section features two distinct modes and a gate that can be indispensable in tweaking the processing to your liking and transforming even the most complex sources.

Shape

The Shape module has two main controls: Snap and Tight. This module allows you to instantly add snap to any drum sound or make the overall sound tight. It's a powerful dynamic-shaping tool fine-tuned to work great on any drum material.

Clap

The Clap module adds a synthesized noise clap to any source sound. At low values, it adds some subtle texture and noise. At high values, it can almost take over the main signal creating snappy synthesizer claps that make your sound stand out.

Sub

Use Sub to add an earth-shattering sub signal to any source. The Sub module creates new low frequencies from any drum sound you send into it. These low frequencies are triggered via the detected transients and blend in smoothly with the original drum sound.

Fat

The Fat module does what it says: it adds fatness and punch to any drum. By using a combination of multiband compression and EQ, you can use this to increase the presence and body of your snares and kicks massively.

Spray

The spray module adds lush reverbs and sustains to your drum sounds. The reverb is designed to create a spray-like effect where your drums smoothly sizzle out in the top end after hitting hard.

Clip

This is not your standard clipper! The Clip module dynamically clips the peaks of your drums making them louder without taking up more headroom. With the timbre and punish controls, you can take the clipping to new extremes while keeping full control over your drum's tone.

Mix it Up!

1 The Squash dial adds final sound compression. This gives the overall processing some final controlled dynamic changes to glue all the sounds together nicely.

2 The Low Cut dial adds a resonant low-cut filter to the signal. Remove any unwanted low frequencies and add some fat, resonant bump-to-the-bottom harmonics to your drum signal.

3Tame the harshness easily with the Tame dial—a timbre control allowing you to attenuate harsh or annoying frequencies and smooth out the overall sound.

4Instantly alter the intensity of the whole processing or change all sounds using only one control. The FX Amount control gives you the option to globally scale the processing amount of all FX modules found inside SLAP.

5The Tune control is extremely powerful. It alters every process inside the plugin and allows you to easily re-tune the whole signal. This is done by applying frequency shifting in combination with changes to all time-based effects in SLAP.
