EBX THE SIXTIES

Bass, mixer presets and MIDI patterns that depict the typical and classic 1960s sound.

This new EBX extension for EZbass aims to capture and make available the legendary sound of one of the most important and distinctive decades of pop/rock music history: the "Sixties". It offers the unmistakable sound of the bass guitar of the decade and its characteristic round, dark and earthy sound that defined the music of the 1960s. Arguably no other instrument serves as a better representation of this bygone era - both in its sound and in its looks.

This bass was fitted with the typical flat-wound strings and sampled using two different playing techniques: played classically with fingers and plucked a second time with a plectrum and slightly dampened with the heel of your hand. This gives you two quite contrasting tonal characteristics of the same instrument and a tonal range from traditionally dull to sharp and high-frequency sharp. As always, the natural sound of the sampled bass was processed with several effects (compressors, EQs, distortion, reverbs/delay, etc.) and is thus available in a variety of sound variants via the mixer presets. A separate MIDI library with genre-typical bass patterns offers enough material for your own songwriting of authentic songs with the unmistakable sound of the 1960s.

This EBX extension requires an installed and running EZbass and automatically integrates with sounds and MIDI into the existing EZbass player.
