Powerful percussion loops ensembles

  • Powerful & driving rhythms

  • Powerful sound from up to 6 percussionists playing at the same time

  • Main riffs, low riffs and high riffs offer numerous possible combinations

  • Recorded in 3 positions with a variety of microphones

  • Real-time time stretching with host synchronization

The second Drums & Percussion module in the Big Bang Orchestra series delivers driving rhythms that were played by the entire percussion ensemble. As an accomplished percussionist, Johannes Vogel, composer and chief conductor of Synchron Stage Vienna, is again responsible for this library. It not only perfectly complements the symphonic riffs of the Big Bang Orchestra: Capricorn, which he also designed, but also gives each track the energy of a large, rousing percussion ensemble.

The included patterns are available in the main riffs, low riffs and high riffs categories. Main and low riffs were played with taikos, bass drum and concert toms, the high riffs with concert tom, snare drum, stacked hanging cymbals, conga and bongos. The respective patterns can be combined with all others, which increases the number of percussionists to form a huge ensemble. Each pattern also has a single beat that you can use to end a loop within the 4-measure phrase. With the new time stretch feature of the Synchron Player you can now automatically synchronize the tempo of the patterns with that of your DAW, or you can manually set a tempo of your choice in real time.

Big sound, big impact

The instruments were set up in three positions (left, center, right) in the room, with one to two instruments per position. As with all tutti recordings in the Big Bang Orchestra series, they were played simultaneously by all percussionists, from soft and subtle to hard fortissimo. The entire ensemble was recorded with a variety of microphones, including one overhead microphone per position and one close microphone per instrument. These individual signals are also available in the channels of the internal mixer of the synchronous player for further processing. You can also change the signals from Decca-Tree, surround and high-surround microphones according to your taste, or you can use the many mixer presets.

BBO Eridanus Recordings

Of course, BBO: Eridanus fits perfectly with the percussion ensembles from BBO: Dorado, which were recorded at the same positions in the Synchron Stage Vienna and whose individual hits can be seamlessly integrated into the patterns as accents or rhythmic variations. The included mixer presets also guarantee that the percussion riffs of BBO: Eridanus merge with the other libraries of the Big Bang Orchestra series to form a huge body of sound.

Vienna Instruments and software require a ViennaKey
The USB dongle from eLicenser (Steinberg, formerly Syncrosoft) is not included in the Vienna Instruments, but must be purchased separately. So you have to order at least one ViennaKey together with your first collection. It is automatically placed in the basket with the first instrument, but can be deleted again if you do not need it. Each ViennaKey can store up to 100 product licenses.
You also need an internet connection on any computer to authorize a ViennaKey.
