VIOLIN RUNS - FREE
Fast scales played by a string ensemble have a special quality of their own. The liveliness and suppleness of the sound of fast runs is created by minimal deviations in the playing of the individual musicians, despite the high precision of a well-rehearsed ensemble. In order to increase the liveliness and authenticity of your tracks, it may make sense to use pre-recorded runs instead of assembling runs from individual notes. VSL has therefore recorded octave runs by 14 violinists in all keys, which are now clearly arranged and available in the Vienna Synchron Player.
The ensemble was recorded in VSL's second studio, the Silent Stage, where the room's reverberation time is very short and controlled, allowing you to place the strings in any acoustic environment you desire. You can use Vienna Synchron Player's built-in convolution reverb and algorithmic reverb, or you can use external effect plug-ins of your choice.

All runs are available in major and minor scales, and played both up and down in the church scales, and in two variations: "Fixed Runs" play instantly as soon as you press a key, and land an octave up or down on the corresponding tone, which is then held. "Perform Runs" work differently: you first play the first, longer held tone of the scale. As soon as you press another key an octave above or below, the run is made to that target note, which is then held again. You can also create longer passages by connecting up and down runs together, or by playing only the first part of a run.
With Vienna Synchron Player's time stretch feature, you can easily adjust the tempo of the runs, and even slow down and speed up in real-time using the stretch factor slider.
With pre-configured mixer presets, you have different reverb lengths and placements as first or second violins at your disposal. Preset names such as lush, bright, close, classic, distant, wide, retro, sentimental and many more illustrate not only the wide range of sound characteristics, but also the diverse possibilities of the Vienna Synchron Player.
