This library is based on the VI Collection Saxophones and contains five solo instruments that were recorded with the short and relatively dry spatial sound of VSL's own second studio, the Silent Stage. The entire sample database with extremely extensive articulations has been re-edited, updated and optimized for the Vienna Synchron Player.

All instruments are perfectly pre-configured and positioned on the virtual Synchron Stage Vienna using convolution reverb based on MIR technology. Presets like "close", "classic" and "distant" make it easy to place the instruments with perfectly matched combinations of convolution and algorithmic reverb. Other mixer presets such as Smokey, Dark, Hard Compressed or Smooth Delay help you choose the right timbre for your project or serve as excellent starting points for your own sound creations.

If you select the MIR unprocessed preset with no reverb or placement, you can use the saxes completely dry, place them anywhere in the stereo field, and add any reverb of your choosing, such as B. the acoustics of the rooms of the Vienna MIR Pro 3D.

With the extended options of the Synchron Player, the samples become even more flexible, lively and playable, e.g. B. through features such as timbre adjust, time stretching or adaptive real-time algorithms. The advanced release sample technology ensures that the perfectly fitting note-off sample is automatically added to every note, whether played short or long. So you can e.g. For example, with the beginning of crescendo tones, you can achieve a very restrained portato style of playing, or with the beginning of diminuendo tones, you can achieve a very expressive style of playing with easy abphrasing of each tone, which sounds very musical and natural.

The SYNCHRON-ized Saxophones Collection features a wide variety of articulations to accommodate a wide variety of genres, from symphonic music to jazz, rock, and pop. In addition to a large selection of regular articulations such as short and long tones, legati, portamenti, glissandi, trills, flutter tongues, runs, repetitions, etc., the library also offers specialties such as bends, falls, tongue hits, dirty notes, key noises and more.

Robert Bernhard, who put his heart and soul into the recordings with his instruments from the Selmer Mark VI series (replica of the well-known "golden throw" from the sixties), has a wealth of experience both as an orchestral musician and as a soloist and Masters of improvisation in jazz, funk and blues. His nuanced performances span the gamut of saxophones, from sensitive to aggressive, breathy to screaming.
