Elliot Scheiner, an absolute legend in the music industry, has been instrumental in shaping the sound of numerous iconic albums such as Steely Dan's “Aja” and “Gaucho”. He has contributed to 91 platinum and 14 gold-certified albums, received 27 Grammy nominations (eight wins), was inducted into the TEC Hall of Fame and honored with the Surround Pioneer Award. He has also worked on soundtracks for Hollywood films such as “The Godfather” and on surround productions for artists such as Beyoncé and the Foo Fighters, establishing himself as a luminary in live and cinematic sound.

With “The State of the Art SDX” library for Superior Drummer 3, Scheiner shows all his know-how: it contains seven carefully selected drum kits ranging from vintage to modern. Recorded at the renowned Clubhouse studio in upstate New York, the library offers three different recording spaces: the dry and dense Studio Iso, the warm Library and the acoustically near-perfect Live Room. All kits were recorded with Decca Tree microphones and alternative tools such as brushes to provide a wide range of first-class drum sounds.

In addition, there are mix-ready presets from Scheiner and the Toontrack sound design team, as well as a variety of grooves and fills inspired by Scheiner's discography. This SDX is a masterful compilation of drum sounds, representing five decades of audio artistry and the highest level of development in drum production.
