Here is the latest grand piano from the critically acclaimed Synthogy series of virtual pianos.
This 1951 “New York” Steinway Model D was hand-picked by Steinway & Sons for concert promotions and lovingly maintained and serviced by the best craftsmen and technicians.
The Steinway D was used by great artists for concerts and recordings because it combines mature overtones with a youthful freshness that only an instrument of this class can do.

As usual, Synthogy captured all the nuances of the instrument and brought it to virtual life with incomparable reality.
This particular New York Steinway D bears the designation "CD 121", which indicates that it was selected by Steinway & Sons for artist performances based on concert hall specifications. The instrument has an exceptionally clear and natural tone, a remarkably expressive dynamic range and is described by many artists as one of the noblest that they have ever played. Indeed, the tablet of this unique instrument is signed by pianists such as Glenn Gould and Rudolf Serkin, a certificate of the highest recognition from two great masters of piano playing.

The grand piano was recorded in the Françoys-Bernier Concert Hall at Le Domaine Forget in the Charlevoix region of Quebec, the same concert hall in which the legendary Ivory German Steinway was recorded, again with the same recording and technical team.

Ivory II American Concert D offers the full set of Ivory II features with up to 20 dynamic levels and runs as a plug-in as well as stand-alone. For existing Ivory II users, the American Concert D is installed directly into the existing Ivory II library in order to have all Ivory pianos and functions available within a single interface.
