GEM COMP76
THE REVOLUTIONARY SIMULATION OF LEGENDARY FET COMPRESSOR-LIMITER. BEYOND THE HARDWARE
Overloud releases Comp76, an all-new revolutionary simulation of legendary FET compressors. Comp76 goes beyond the mere simulation of the original unit by adding features not available in the original hardware, such as mid-side processing and the parallel compression tool.
Comp76 is part of a new high-end Overloud plug-in line, called Gems, dedicated to mixing and mastering.
Comp76 is a superior tool for professional engineers who demand no-compromise mixing.
Features include:
- Models three different units: Rev. A, Rev. D, Rev. F
- Low frequency sensitivity control
- Harmonics amount control
- Oversample control, including ultra-oversampling mode
- Harmonics metering
- New -16dBFS VU-Meter Calibration
- Hyper-realistic simulation of the original unit with 4th generation DSP technology
- Built-in Parallel Compression
- Built-in Mid-Side Processing
- Sidechain processing
- Simulation of all transformers from the original units
- Emulates the original All-Buttons-In mode
- Low CPU usage (more than 1000 instances on a Macbook Pro Retina)
- Many presets designed during real mixing sessions
Three Different Units
Comp76 models three different units: Rev. A (original, warm and rich sound, higher noise floor), Rev. D (low noise version), Rev. F (recent revision, transparent and clean sound).
Built-in Parallel Compression
Parallel compression is a powerful mixing technique which helps improve the overall impact of the track while leaving the transients intact. It is achieved by summing the compressor output to the original track. With Overloud Comp76 you do not need to create complex routing inside the DAW; just turn the Parallel knob!
Built-in Mid-Side Processing
You can separately compress the mono and stereo elements of the track, using different compression settings for each. This gives you complete control of the dynamics. You can squeeze the stereo aspect to tighten the room mics and get an in-your-face drum sound.
What Overloud did for guitar amp software, they've now done for classic vintage gear. Listen to what Overloud can do for your mixes!
