Single Woodwind instrument for the Vienna Synchron Player

This library brings the oboe d'amore from the VI Special Woodwinds Collection to the large hall (Stage A) of the Synchron Stage Vienna. It has been revised and optimized for the Vienna Synchron Player with regard to flexibility, balance and user-friendliness in order to enable quick and creative work.

Like the oboe or the cor anglais, the oboe d'amore (hautbois d'amour / love oboe) is one of the woodwind instruments with double reeds and covers the mezzo-soprano register. The addition “d'amore” dates back to the Renaissance and refers to its warm, lyrical and lovely sound, which is more similar to the cor anglais than the oboe. Structurally, the instrument is slightly larger (longer) than the oboe and has a characteristic, pear-shaped bell. Although the oboe d'amore was still used regularly in the Baroque period, it was later increasingly replaced by the cor anglais and the oboe.

The library offers a large selection of articulations that match the expressive possibilities of the instruments in the SYNCHRONIZED Woodwinds Collection. It includes various short and long tones, legato variants (including fast legatos with which trills can be played), dynamic playing styles such as crescendi and diminuendi, fp, sfz, sffz, pfp, flutter tongue, repetitions and more.

With the convolution reverb integrated in the Vienna Synchron Player, the relatively dry recorded instrument is optimally placed in the 540 m² Stage A of the Synchron Stage Vienna. The tailor-made mixer presets provide an immediately usable surround sound "out-of-the-box" and also fit perfectly with the instruments of the SYNCHRON-ized Woodwinds Collection as well as with all other products of the Synchron Series.
