SDX FIELDS OF ROCK

7 drum kits and extensive percussion, recorded in the legendary Rockfield Studios for the essential rock sound of the 1970s until today.

The Fields of Rock SDX offers 7 different drum sets and a special selection of useful percussion instruments and was designed by producer / mixer Tom Dalgety (Ghost, Rammstein, Pixies, Royal Blood) and drummer Mat Hector (Iggy Pop, Gutterdämmerung , Razorlight). The recordings were made in Rockfield Studio, a former Welsh cheese factory - a studio that has left particularly impressive marks in musical history with its productions over the past 50 years.

This very unusual studio, to which bands like Queen, Rush, Judas Priest, Hawkwind and many more made the pilgrimage for their recordings in the 1970s, quickly developed into a creative retreat where some of the best rock songs of our time were created. But even long after the legendary classic rock weddings, Rockfield is still considered one of the best addresses in the recording world and an indispensable choice for a wide variety of artists from a wide variety of genres such as Oasis, Coldplay and Manic Street Preachers.

This SDX offers the essence of the rock sound of album productions, which undoubtedly define the genre - recorded in the different rooms of the studio (stone room, live room, dry room). Of course, an incomparable selection of vintage microphones and outboard devices was used. In addition, all drum sounds were recorded through 14 channels with hardware tape emulation in order to authentically reproduce the genre-typical warm, slightly saturated sound of the tape.

The drum sounds of this SDX are both a deep respectful bow to the great gods of classic rock and a proud commitment to the future of drum recording for all forms of rock music.
