BM ROOTS OF THE 51 - RIG LIBRARY FOR TH-U
BM Roots of the 51 is the capture of the amp that first launched the EVH* line: the 5150III* 100-Watt Head. It's the Holy Grail of Tone that Eddie Van Halen had chased his whole life. The capturing process was made at the Sandlane Studio, which specialized in recording high-gain hard rock and metal.
That’s why this is not just a 5150* library: this is the most realistic and artist-aligned capture of a legend.
The BM Roots of the 51 was created after an extensive capture of 85 rigs (including 9 DI rigs), created with multiple speakers, microphones and distortion pedals:*
- Mesa* 2x12" (V30)
- Marshall* 1960 (G12H Greenback)
- Marshall* 1976 (G12H Blackback)
- Bogner* 412 (V30)
- SM57, R121, U47, MD421, M160 mics
- TS9 Tube Screamer
- Jackhammer* JH-1 booster
- Hellmouth booster
- Both the Red and Blue channels have been captured
OUR CAPTURING TECHNOLOGY
TH-U is the first amp simulator to include both amp modeling and amp capturing technologies.
These Rig Models are created from real setups! Overloud's proprietary technology captures the response of an entire rig, including the nonlinear and dynamic response of the amplifier, the cabinet, the microphones, the mic preamplifier and the room sound.
The Rig Player, integrated into TH-U, reproduces any nuance of the sampled rigs and will combine the models of different setups.
