STUDIO TENOR TROMBONE (MUTED)
Studio Tenor Trombone (Muted) - Restrained Elegance
The tenor trombone is the most commonly used trombone and a standard instrument in jazz ensembles. It is valued for its voice-like quality and smooth yet assertive sound. The tenor trombone played "con sordino" retains all of these characteristics but adds a soft, lyrical quality. Its sound spectrum ranges from quiet whispers to powerful phrases, making it indispensable in solo and ensemble contexts alike. The purist recordings in the Silent Stage now bring the true timbre of the tenor trombone directly to your studio.

Velvety voice
The recordings of the muted tenor trombone were made with two different types of mute (straight mute and cup mute). They are characterized by their soft yet rich sound and integrate harmoniously into various string, woodwind or brass sections. They are also ideal for lyrical, melodic solo lines.
Gentle mechanics
The trombone's sliding mechanism allows for smooth transitions between notes - a quality that is further enhanced by the subtle coloration of a mute. This library captures every one of these nuances, from smooth glissandi to resonant dynamics, allowing the tenor trombone's unique tonal qualities to shine across a wide range of musical genres.
Versatile and expressive
This library offers a complete set of expressive and dynamic articulations: short and long notes, legato (including fast legato), crescendos and decrescendos, sfz, sffz, pfp and flutter tongue. Thanks to the dry recording in the Silent Stage, the sounds can be precisely placed in the stereo panorama and virtually in any room. In addition, the internal convolution reverb with impulses from Stage A of the Vienna Synchron Stage enables the instruments placed there to sound perfectly together with those of the Synchron Series.
