Big Bang Orchestra: Hercules - Low Brass

Shortly after the opening of the Synchron Stage Vienna, with the first film music recordings, VSL was attested by customers from Hollywood that the brass section of the Synchron Stage Orchestra was among the best they had ever heard.

This coveted sound is created by a combination of several factors. First of all, the high quality of the musicians who have contributed to a large number of film music recordings is decisive. It is also a fact that the brass instruments in the Synchron Stage Vienna are particularly effective due to their acoustic properties. Last but not least, the masterful miking of the instruments by the Chief Recording Engineer of the Synchron Stage Vienna, Bernd Mazagg, plays a decisive role. All these experiences from many years of recordings for international film, TV and game music productions have flowed into the development of this product and shape the excellent sound of these brass ensembles.

The ensemble recorded for Big Bang Orchestra: Hercules consists of four bass trombones, a bass tuba and a double bass tuba that plays an octave lower than the other instruments and can be individually switched on or off.

The library contains a variety of playing styles in up to five dynamic levels: short notes, marcati, real legati, sforzandi, sforzatissimi, various crescendos and diminuedi, flutter tongue, trills, glissandi and fast repetitions. An extra fff layer can be activated for long tones. Achieving this fortississimo in the lowest registers was a particular challenge for the musicians - the volume of air required is enormous. Nevertheless, in addition to "normal" sustains, full-fledged interval legacy in the lowest positions in the fff could be played, with impressive results.

BBO: Hercules' low brass instruments have been completely re-recorded. They can therefore easily be combined with the tutti modules of the Big Bang Orchestra to achieve an even fatter brass sound. The usual mixer presets are available in the Synchron Player, which guarantee a homogeneous sound when used in combination with the other modules of the Big Bang Orchestra. In addition, the “Processed” category contains mixer presets such as “Compressed”, “Sparkling”, “Wall of Low Brass”, “Howling Brass”, “Threatening Sustain” and many more.

This product requires activation!

This can either be done on your computer (without additional hardware) or alternatively on an iLok USB dongle that can be purchased separately . The iLok USB dongle can be plugged into any computer in order to use the protected software on several computers. Your licenses can be managed as you like using the iLok License Manager and protected against loss or theft by additional insurance ( Zero Downtime with TLC ).

To activate the product you need an internet connection on any computer and a free user account on www.ilok.com . Use the Vienna Assistant to download and install your software products and sample libraries authorized via iLok  .

Please check with the software manufacturer which iLok version is required as a minimum if you want to use a hardware iLok!
