SYNCHRONIZED BAROQUE OBOE

This library brings the baroque oboe from the VI Historic Winds I Collection to the large hall (Stage A) of the Synchron Stage Vienna. It has been redesigned and optimized for the Vienna Synchron Player with regard to flexibility, balance and user-friendliness in order to enable rapid and creative work.

The baroque oboe appeared in the middle of the 17th century. in appearance and, like the modern oboe, has a double reed for sound generation. It covers the high soprano register from c1 to d3, which is why the instrument is also called "hautbois" ("high wood") in French. In contrast to the modern oboe, the baroque oboe only has three keys. In order to expand the range upwards, the technique of "overblowing" is required - in this case the air flow is accelerated accordingly in order to address the higher notes of the harmonic scale.

With the convolution reverb integrated into the Vienna Synchron Player, the relatively dry recorded instrument is optimally placed in the 540 m² Stage A of the Synchron Stage Vienna. The tailor-made mixer presets deliver out-of-the-box spatial sound and are a perfect match for the instruments in the SYNCHRON-ized Woodwinds Collection as well as all other products in the Synchron Series .
