The sound of Celtic legends

We take you on a musical journey into the past. Celtic ERA 2 by Eduardo Tarilonte opens the gates to the far north for you. Experience Celtic culture through sounds that have lent a musical identity to Ireland's beautiful countryside for generations.

With Celtic ERA 2, sample specialist Eduardo Tarilonte has given his collection of Celtic instruments a major upgrade, which, in addition to additional instruments, also includes a revised and even clearer GUI.

Celtic ERA 2 is not only the perfect collection of instruments for the musical accompaniment of film scores and TV documentaries about the Emerald Isle, but also for composers who would like to use special and high-quality sounds for their music.

  • 25 GB library with a total of over 25,000 samples

  • 36 Celtic wind, string and percussion instruments, recorded in great detail and in impeccable quality

  • Four additional Bronze Age instruments: Cranyx, Cornu, Dord and War Horns

  • All instruments consist of complex multisamples (24 bit/44.1 kHz) with a number of dynamic gradations, various articulations, round-robin, genuine legato and glissando samples

  • Recorded by outstanding musicians from the Irish music scene

  • Including authentic phrases as MIDI patterns and inspiring sound atmospheres

For Celtic ERA 2, multi-instrumentalist and sound expert Eduardo Tarilonte recorded 36 Celtic wind, string and percussion instruments in great detail and in excellent quality. Experience catchy flutes, dreamy harps, the famous Uilleann bagpipes and the characteristic bodhran drums, among others.

Many sounds were recorded from two different instruments of the same type to provide greater variety. For example, you can record a duet between two harps without the instruments sounding identical.

Experience inspiring sound atmospheres and authentic phrases recorded as MIDI patterns. Of course, all articulations and true legato playing techniques are available for the included instruments.

Recording

Celtic ERA was recorded at Eldana Studios in Dueñas, Spain. All instruments were recorded by outstanding musicians from the Irish music scene.

This is how Martino Vacca (Uilleann Pipes, Irish Flute, Low Whistles and Whistle), Karen Hickey (Fiddle), Carlos Martín Aires (Acoustic Guitar, Irish Bouzouki, Tenor Banjo), Fernando Mosquera (Highland Pipes 2, Gaida, Galician Bagpipe, Scottish Smallpipes, Wooden Low Whistle and Asubio), Jean Yves Magre (Highland Pipes 1), Marie Agnes Magre (Breton Bombarde), Pablo Vergara (Bodhrans), Álvaro García "Pichu" (Scottish drum, skin snare, bass drum and tom) in the studio.

In addition, the creator of the library, Eduardo Tarilonte, played concertinas and Celtic harps himself. The four historical instruments included were recorded by Abraham Cupeiro.

All instruments were recorded with selected Kahayan U47 mics & preamps as well as premium ribbon mics. The miking was deliberately close and therefore without space. So you always have full control over the sound and effect design. This is another reason why you can easily combine the sounds of Celtic ERA 2 with the other libraries by Eduardo Tarilonte.
