The spatial sound of the Styrian pilgrimage church Maria Strassengel was recorded for Vienna MIR Pro 3D from four microphone positions. The first microphone is next to the altar, the second in the middle of the nave and the third next to the main entrance below the organ gallery. A fourth microphone is placed in the same place as the third microphone, but 6m above it on the organ gallery. A total of over 2000 impulse responses were recorded to capture the beautiful reverberation of this Gothic church.

Steinhof Church

For more than a hundred years, the Steinhof church, built by Otto Wagner in Art Nouveau style at the beginning of the 20th century, has had a magical attraction for musicians and music lovers alike with its incomparably rich acoustics and to this day regularly serves as the venue for many concerts.

The striking sight of Vienna is located in the social-medical center "Baumgartnerhöhe" and was part of the "White City", a 61-building building and at the time the largest and most modern psychiatric clinic in Europe.

For those interested in the special orchestra, this unique building represents the "Vienna Taj Mahal". When entering the main nave, the visitor is greeted by a ten-second* long, crystal-clear and dense reverberation, which opens the way to higher spheres and for many believers and musicians becomes a profound experience.

For Vienna MIR Pro 3D, the nave of the church at Steinhof was recorded from three different microphone positions: the first microphone was placed near the altar, the second in the middle of the nave under the dome and the third microphone at the entrance next to the organ gallery. A total of over 2,200 impulse responses were recorded in order to virtually reproduce the acoustics of the building.

In addition, there are a number of so-called HotSpots - two positions to the left and right of the two aisles, one position at the back of the main entrance, and the entire balcony of the organ gallery, which means that the church is in principle recorded on each side of the main microphones in the Vienna MIR Pro 3D can! In addition, instruments can also be freely placed and rotated on the gilded pulpit to the left of the altar (marked by the parapet covered in red velvet) - the perfect place for the "sermon" of a soloist with divine devotion.

*In Vienna MIR Pro 3D it is also possible to shorten the reverberation times of a room in the Room Editor. Due to the unbelievably dense and homogeneous reverb tails of the church at Steinhof, radical changes in the main impulse lengths of less than 3 seconds are also possible. The reduction to these common and conventional values ​​opens up a wide range of new possibilities in addition to the main application of epic, sacred and meditative spaces.

This product requires activation!

This can either be done on your computer (without additional hardware) or alternatively on an iLok USB dongle that can be purchased separately . The iLok USB dongle can be plugged into any computer in order to use the protected software on several computers. Your licenses can be managed as you like using the iLok License Manager and protected against loss or theft by additional insurance ( Zero Downtime with TLC ).

To activate the product you need an Internet connection on any computer and a free user account on www.ilok.com . Use the Vienna Assistant to download and install your software products and sample libraries authorized via iLok  .

Please check with the software manufacturer which iLok version is required as a minimum if you want to use a hardware iLok!
