Made for a Master

From 1849 to 1858, Richard Wagner lived in exile in Switzerland, where he was inspired by the beauty of nature. During this time he began composing his famous "The Ring of the Nibelung", a monumental opera cycle in four parts. For this work he imagined a unique brass sound that combined the tonal qualities of the French horn and trombone, and had this instrument built around 1870.

Powerful hybrid sound

A fusion of two instruments, this tuba stands out as it combines the presence of the horn with the directness of the trombone. This uniqueness and the "Wagner-certified" epic sound characteristics not only make it special, but also add an exciting sonic nuance to projects outside of opera.

Versatile and expressive

This library offers a complete set of expressive and dynamic articulations: short and long notes, legato (including fast legato), crescendos and decrescendos, sfz, sffz, pfp, flutter tongue. Thanks to the dry recording in the Silent Stage, the sounds can be precisely placed in the stereo panorama and virtually in any room. In addition, the internal convolution reverb with impulses from Stage A of the Vienna Synchron Stage enables the instruments placed there to sound perfectly together with those of the Synchron Series.
