Convolution Reverb for Vienna Instruments & Vienna Instruments Pro

MIRx is a convolution reverb extension based on the revolutionary MIR (Multi Impulse Response) technology for the Vienna Instruments and Vienna Instruments Pro sample players. It is a simple and inexpensive way to integrate the acoustics of the large Hall A of the Synchron Stage Vienna directly into the Vienna Instruments and Vienna Instruments Pro sample players.

Using the pre-defined impulse responses of the Vienna MIR Pro, each instrument or ensemble in your Vienna Instruments libraries is assigned an ideal sitting position on the stage at the touch of a button, which also corresponds to the real orchestra setup. All you have to do is select the MIRx option in the player's Reverb window and the loaded instrument will automatically be placed and aligned in the appropriate position - making it easy to balance the entire orchestral sound.

MIRx Synchron Stage Image

With MIRx Synchron Stage Vienna you can easily place your Vienna Instruments of the VI-Series in exactly that "Stage A" in which the instruments of our Synchron Series were recorded. All instruments now play in the same room and fit together perfectly.

MIRx Synchron Stage Vienna contains two setups: The “portrait” presets (upright) position the instruments lengthways in the hall, with the traditional placement of the first violins and violas on the left, second violins on the right, cellos on the right and basses in the middle. The overall impression of this setup is spatial and tends to be more "classic". In the case of the “Wide” transversal use, the second violins sit on the left side next to the first violins, the violas and cellos on the right, the basses behind them on the right. The surround sound is a bit drier and, with its slightly shorter reverberation time, corresponds to a typical “scoring stage sound” and thus also to the sound of the synchronous libraries recorded here, such as Synchron Strings Pro or the Big Bang Orchestra series.

The 540 m2 recording hall (Stage A) is operated by the Vienna Symphonic Library for both sample library and orchestral music recordings. The reverberation time of 1.6 to 1.8 seconds is shortened, especially in the low frequencies, so that no masking effect occurs as in other halls of this size. The sound character of the room is warm and broad, with simultaneous good localization of the signals in the stereo image and in the depth. Since opening in 2015, composers and film studios from Hollywood and around the world have recorded music for cinema and TV films, games, documentaries, commercials and classical albums. The outstanding acoustics of "Stage A" are valued by composers such as Hans Zimmer, Harry Gregson-Williams or Steven Price and are featured in a wide variety of projects such as The Meg, Ad Astra, The Crown,

Product activation:
Vienna Instruments and software require a ViennaKey !
The USB dongle from eLicenser (Steinberg, formerly Syncrosoft) is not included in the Vienna Instruments, but must be purchased separately. So you have to order at least one ViennaKey together with your first collection. It is automatically placed in the basket with the first instrument, but can be deleted again if you do not need it. Each ViennaKey can store up to 100 product licenses.
You also need an internet connection on any computer to authorize a ViennaKey.
