  • Concert guitar with single notes and chords

  • Overdrive - distorted electric guitar

  • Improved playability for authentic performances

This library is based on the VI individual instruments Upright Bass, Concert Guitar and Overdrive, optimized and improved for the Vienna Synchron Player. The VSL team of editors and sound engineers revised all sample data in order to further increase and simplify the playability, especially when importing with the keyboard. But not only the samples have been improved, such as: B. by optimizing the decay behavior, but also the algorithms of the synchronous player by now z. For example, the functionality of the Velocity Crossfade can be used without restriction on the sound behavior of plucked instruments.

Thanks to the clear patch structure of the Synchron Player, all articulations are clearly displayed and easily accessible despite their great variety, so that authentic performances can be implemented easily and smoothly. The large number of mixer presets with tailor-made convolution reverb impulse responses of the Synchron Stage Vienna for the respective application as a solo or accompanying instrument make placement on the scoring stage or in your mix child's play.

Upright Bass GUI

Upright bass

This double bass library was recorded by the well-known Vorarlberg bassist Bernd Konzett and offers a range of articulations that are used in jazz. The consistently plucked styles of playing include staccati, portati and sustains with different vibrato strengths, legati, slow and fast glissandi, repetitions, ghost notes and suggestions with 1 to 3 notes at different tempos. Snaps, noises and various effects round off the sample set of the bass.

Concert Guitar GUI

Concert guitar

The concert guitar recorded for this library is a handcrafted one-off piece. The unique curved bottom of the instrument ensures a balanced and homogeneous sound, which is suitable for both solo performances and accompanying functions. This library contains single notes and chords. The individual notes comprise a series of short notes (including bartok staccato, étouffé, hammer-ons) and long notes (including flautando, ponticello, bartok, étouffé, natural and artificial flageolet) as well as legati, glissandi, repetitions, tremoli, trills , Bends and finally effects like golpe, tambora, scratching noises, harp effects and muffled chords. The chords played in all harmonies and in different positions are available in the categories Regular, Rasgueado, Long Rasgueado and Arpeggios - in fading, secco played and stopped variants. All chords and playing styles are easy to call up and combine thanks to the clear color coding and the help of the key switches.

Overdrive Guitar GUI

Overdrive - Distorted Electric Guitar

To achieve the distorted tube sound of the overdrive library, a 7-string Steve Vai signature electric guitar was played over a Brunetti XL II R-EVO amp and a Marshall 1960TV 4x12 "box. In addition to various short and long tones (with and without vibrato, or with whammy bar), there are legati, slides, hammer-ons & pull-offs, repetitions, tremolos, trills, suggestions, artificial and natural harmonics as well as a large number of scale runs, especially the fat power chords On board are effects like notes played with E-Bow, long feedbacks, various scratches and more. Most of the articulations start at B0, i.e. a fourth lower than on a conventional guitar!
